Citizens Advice Telford & the Wrekin

We attended the Supporting Home Learning Environment Conference where we hosted a stall for the day promoting our Baby Steps project. The event organised by Telford & Wrekin Family Hubs had speakers from Speech & Language UK, NSPCC, Childrens Bureau and National Association for Special Educational Needs. During the breaks between talkers and lunch, it gave those attending the opportunity to explore the stalls around the edge of the room. We were able to discuss the project with 25 professionals at the event including nursery teachers, nurses and many more. The project was well received by those we spoke to, highlighting how many new parents do not know of benefits they are missing out on.

We spoke with one Family liaison officer from a local primary school, who was going to take the information away and pass it onto families they work with.

The free lunch was great and the conference was a great success. Thanks to Telford & Wrekin Family Hubs for organising.
